ligne de puissance; power line

On an acausal bond graph model, a series of bond graph links and multiport elements connecting two elements together. An input/output (I/O) power line is a power line between two bond graph elements, one carrying an input variable and the other carrying an output variable of the model. Two power lines are said to be disjoint if and only if they have no power in common.

chemin causal; causal path

On a causal bond graph model, an ordered sequence of variables (effort and/or flow) related to each other by the model's equations. The ordering of this sequence conforms to the causality of the model. An input/output (I/O) causal path is a causal path between an input variable and an output variable of the model.
