3. Conclusion

This article presents an approach for a "continuous" process of integrated mechatronic design. Drawing on the specific features of mechatronic systems through the notion of integration: functional, multi-domain and 3D physical, the design of such systems highlights a multi-level aspect in the design cycle, multi-scale for the notion of refinement and of course multi-disciplinary collaborations. All this complexity has led us to define good design practices, by introducing and illustrating the different modeling levels and tools in the mechatronics design cycle, then by specifying the collaborative aspects between the different players and the associated tools, which require the setting up of a project team led by a project manager mastering the methods of the global and systemic approach to design.
