5. Various gearboxes

  • Electrical solution

    Originally a combination of a dynamo and a DC motor, it is now produced using an autosynchronous motor.

  • Mechanical meshing solution

    • With fixed rotation axes

      In a single-stage or multi-stage solution, the ratio 1k is between 1/5 and 5; beyond that, it is preferable to design with multi-stages, but with the disadvantage of a drop in efficiency.

      Power-to-weight ratios are very high, on the order of 10 kW/kg.
