7. Propeller modeling
Because of the type of modeling we've chosen, we can't take any blade vibrations into account. The propeller is therefore assumed to be dimensionally stable.
The inertia of a propeller is represented by an inertia disk I h . It takes into account the inertia of the material making up the propeller plus 25% in the case of a marine propeller, to account for water displacement.
