Physical examination method for detecting a continuity solution in a material. The examination may be :

• surface such as visual (VT), or dye penetrant (RT);

• superficial/subcutaneous such as magnetization (MT);

• (or compactness) such as ionizing radiation (RT) or ultrasound (UT and its variants: TOFD, Phased Array ).

Zone fondue; weld metal
