2. Choice of cryogenic fluid

A wide range of cryogenic fluids is available on the market. Among the fluids available in liquid form are air, nitrogen, oxygen, argon, helium, neon, hydrogen, etc.

The choice of fluid depends first and foremost on its compatibility with the material to be machined (machining of metallic materials, composites, etc.). But consideration of environmental risks, fluid stability and chemical reactivity is also essential.
