6. Conclusion
In this article, we have shown the importance and complexity of cost estimation within the company. Then, we identified the different components of cost price. Finally, we present the different estimation methods, illustrated by examples. It is important to remember that the choice of an estimating method depends on several parameters:
the stage in the product life cycle (pre-study, design, production, etc.);
available data ;
the time allowed to complete the costing;
the precision required ;
the type of item whose cost is to be estimated...
