1. Deep pass machining

Deep pass machining first appeared in France around 25 years ago. As it was initially close to conventional surface grinding, it has retained this image to this day.

This process is a machining operation that enables the geometric shaping of a part by removing a large amount of material.

It has become a very different process from conventional surface grinding, and has much broader applications.

Deep pass machining is a complex process to implement and use, requiring the mastery of several different parameters at the same time: the machine, the wheels, the production, quality assurance and, above all, the training of the various players.

Major industrial applications include aeronautics, energy, automotive, medical, rail and watchmaking.
