5. Results and analysis

5.1 Aluminium study

The first results of this experimental design concern the optimum abrasive flow rate. First, the influence of cutting parameters on the optimum abrasive flow rate is analyzed. Based on this analysis, an empirical model for predicting the optimum abrasive flow rate as a function of cutting parameters is proposed. Secondly, an empirical model for predicting machined depth is presented. This model is based on the identification of the optimum abrasive flow rate.
