This glossary brings together the main technical terms and expressions used in sheet metal forming, describing the concepts, methods, tools and processes used in the field to :
the characteristics of the metal sheets used, with some explanation of their physical meaning and their influence ;
their deformation modes, which condition their local properties;
terms corresponding to the stamping presses and tools used;
the various existing techniques and their derivatives;
