Surface protection and finishing

Finishing is almost always an essential step for wood and wood-based materials: it involves applying a protective coating to the surface of the piece to protect it during use while also giving it an attractive appearance or color.

For structures exposed to the elements, this protective function is essential to prevent deterioration of the surface finish caused by weather conditions (rain, sun, wind, etc.).

Regardless of the system or product chosen, any finish requires maintenance. This maintenance must be performed before the finish deteriorates completely to avoid costly repairs to the substrate.
