6. Conclusion
The fate of nanomedicines in the body depends on their physical and chemical characteristics, but also on the tissue structures and biological molecules they encounter. Thus, it now appears that in-depth knowledge of physiology, histology, biochemistry, and molecular biology mechanisms is inseparable from technological knowledge when seeking to develop effective nanomedicines. In the future, drug targeting using nanoparticles will become increasingly sophisticated. Today, targeting cellular organelles is beginning to be explored in order to further increase the efficacy and reduce the toxicity of active molecules. Targeting is still insufficient.
