AUTHOR

 INTRODUCTION

3D printing is a subject that raises many questions: the somewhat magical aspect of seeing objects created before our eyes from a computer could pave the way for a profound change in our society's economic development model.

This article looks at the position of this new technology with regard to sustainable development, and more specifically, respect for the environment.

The aim here is to understand the promise of this new technology, and to identify its potential contribution to eco-responsible development. But beyond these promises, we'll also be looking at the limits of this technological revolution and its ability to drive a new industrial revolution.
