6.1 Meet the requirements of the RE2020 environmental standard
The RE2020 environmental regulations came into force on 1 er January 2022, with the primary aim of improving the energy quality of new buildings by reducing their greenhouse gas emissions. Its retroactive application to older buildings is a means of achieving the following three objectives:
energy sobriety through the use of green energies and little or no fossil fuels;
Reducing carbon footprint with biobased materials;
guaranteed comfort in winter and summer.
