1.1 Thermal diagnostics

Of the two main types of insulation, acoustic insulation and thermal insulation, we will be focusing throughout this study on the renovation of thermal insulation in an old industrial building, and also on the effective insulation of a new building. Acoustic insulation will be addressed in part through the treatment of floors and ceilings in the various buildings on the site.

Before starting insulation work on an industrial building, you need to start by carrying out a thermal diagnosis of the building(s). The objectives of this diagnosis are to:
