6. Our advice

6.1 Comply with the requirements

To comply with the requirements of standard NF EN 16247, the first decision-making audit must be carried out by a firm or expert certified by COFRAC.

The following audits can be carried out internally once a member of your company has been trained in accordance with the requirements of standard NF EN 16247–5.

The audit report must be submitted on the ADEME's dedicated platform.

You may also consider ISO 50001 certification to exempt yourself from this audit every four years.

Finally, it is recommended that you communicate the corrective actions taken after the audit within your company in order to encourage changes in staff behavior.
