1. What regulatory requirements and standards govern energy audits?

Since December 5, 2015, certain industrial companies have been required to conduct an energy audit to identify readily available energy savings. This requirement is based on various obligations.

1.1 Standard NF EN 16247

This European standard structures the content of the energy audit into five parts.

  • P1: General requirements;

  • P2: Building audit;

  • P3: Audit of industrial processes;

  • P4: Transportation audit;

  • P5: Auditor competence.
