3. Location of materials and technical products

Solar and wind power are the only renewable energy sources that are currently developing very rapidly. Much of the equipment is produced in China.

This is particularly true of photovoltaic collectors, more than 75% of which are produced in China. In 2019, for panel production representing a capacity of around 130 GW, a share equivalent to 100 GW was produced in China (figure 3 )  . Of the world's top 10 manufacturers, 9 are Chinese.
