7. Mistakes to avoid
7.1 Don't forget to ventilate your envelope
It's important to note that improving airtightness, changing external joinery and insulating walls will modify the hygrothermal balance of the envelope. But the aim is not to eliminate all leaks and achieve a 100% airtight envelope. That's why we strongly recommend installing mechanical ventilation in conjunction with all the other work already listed. Also, for health reasons, it is necessary to renew the air inside the building undergoing insulation renovation.
