Léon NOUINDE: Mechanical engineering with energy option - Quality Director at ENSIATE
INTRODUCTION
The building sector (residential, tertiary and industrial), which is a major consumer of thermal energy, must commit to energy sobriety to enable France to reduce its fossil fuel consumption by 30% by 2030.
In the building sector, there are at least two tracks (BEPOS, positive energy building, and BEPAS, passive energy building) which we will address in this study.
It sets out to prove that passive-energy and/or positive-energy buildings are the standards of the future for meeting this challenge. To demonstrate this, this practical guide has been structured around the following points:
BEPOS label or BEPAS label?
what are the principles of passive construction?
how to rehabilitate existing buildings?
should a passive building be heated, and with what energy?
Finally, the study concludes with a focus on the aids and prejudices that need to be overcome to take part in reducing fossil fuel consumption.
