5.1 Make the right choice of insulating material

Choose insulation according to fluid temperature, pipe diameter, fluid type and environment (indoor/outdoor, risk of humidity, UV exposure).

Ensure insulation continuity, avoid thermal bridges (use insulating strips, spacers).

Provide suitable mechanical protection (sheet metal, PVC, anti-UV paint).
