4. Our advice

4.1 Give priority to heat recovery, if possible internal to the process

This is undoubtedly the easiest and most cost-effective solution to implement. The pinch between the two flows (incoming and outgoing) can be adjusted on the basis of an economic analysis, which involves finding a compromise between the cost of heat recovery units and the rate of heat recovery.
