Overview
ABSTRACT
In a power plant, after the rigorous design with the most suitable components, the construction is carried out together with the optimal operation and maintenance steps, for ensuring an efficient production throughout the life of a power plant.
This paper presents the equipment for the protection of property and people, maintenance operations, possible failures, cleaning, vegetation control and recycling of modules in photovoltaic plants.

INTRODUCTION
Since 1997, following ratification of the Kyoto Protocol, 192 countries have committed to stabilizing and reducing greenhouse gas emissions. Today, the European Union is aiming for a renewable energy share of at least 32% by 2030, with implementation at the heart of solutions to combat climate change.
From a few peak kilowatts (kWp) for a domestic installation, to several hundred peak megawatts (MWp) for a solar power plant, and arranged as a ground-mounted or floating park, integrated into the building or as an overlay on the roof of a house, a shed or an umbrella, photovoltaics is part of the response to the ambitious objectives set for the ecological and energy transition.
Photovoltaic power plants are covered in the following articles:
This article [BE 8 576] reviews the realization of these photovoltaic installations, from construction to operation and maintenance, right through to optimization and module recycling methods.
