The demographic and economic growth of the world's population is depleting the planet's non-renewable resources and increasing environmental pollution. Every day, it becomes more urgent to find a balanced dynamic that will enable the greatest number of people to satisfy their needs without compromising those of their descendants. The primacy of the need for food means we don't have to get lost in the meanders of defining needs, the content of which will be imposed on us by our reason, if only we wish to escape the barbarism prepared by the denial of waste into which the "spoiled children" of "progress" have settled.
