2. Lighting

Lighting techniques designed to meet lighting needs are based on :

  • photometry, whose values are :

    • luminous intensity (in candela - cd),

    • luminous flux (in lumen – lm),

    • illuminance (in lux – lx),

    • luminance (in candela per square metre – cd.m -2 );

  • colorimetry, whose variables are color temperature (T cp in Kelvin – K) and color rendering index (CRI or R a on a scale from 0 to 100).
