4. Standard for indoor workplace lighting

4.1 Field of application

The AFNOR standard NF EN 12464-1 – Workplace lighting – Part 1: indoor workplaces sets out the lighting criteria to be met by indoor lighting installations to ensure the performance and visual comfort of people at work under good health and safety conditions.

This Standard applies to a wide range of activities in the tertiary sector, industry, commerce, educational and health establishments and other premises where professional activities are carried out.
