6. Projects and lighting modes

It's the lighting project that defines, according to the visual needs of the occupants, the complete characteristics of the lighting installation (equipment and management system), in compliance with ergonomic and lighting design standards and current legislation.

This approach forms the core of the economic calculation, including initial installation and operating costs, as well as the environmental footprint of the lighting (eco-design of products, energy consumption of the installation, end-of-life treatment of products). The first step in the project is to define the lighting mode that will be used to design the installation.

Once the general requirements of the room are known, a detailed task analysis can be carried out to determine the specific needs of each task and the lighting modes required to meet these needs. General room lighting...
