Laying tiles
As the tiles overlap over a large part of their surface, it is necessary to use shorter tiles at the start of the eaves, as well as at the end of the ridge.
The tiles are laid by hooking the tenon(s) onto the upstream face of the battens (see figure 2 ), each tile against its neighbor.
Note: the tiles must not be wedged sideways against each other, and a certain amount of play must be allowed so that the tiles can withstand slight movements in the structure without damage.
The upper bed is crossed in relation to the bed it covers, and half-tiles are used for the edges.
