7.1 Comments

Standards are mainly of interest to :

• manufacturers ;

• approved laboratories (LNE, CEBTP, CSTB), inspection bodies (Bureau Véritas, Socotec etc.).

Standards are documents relating to products and/or processes which generally provide: definitions and vocabulary; test methods; characteristics; performance; as well as technical and special specifications and user guides.

Standards enable manufacturers to formulate their products, and laboratories to check and certify that products comply with standards.
