Overview
ABSTRACT
The purpose of this case study is to understand the pathology which occurred, in a period of less than 10 years, on the perimeter walls of a housing area with an R+1 energy grading from a scientific viewpoint. The hygrothermal study aims at providing the diagnostic of causes for the disorders, and the definition of curative solutions in order to eradicate the causes producing the observed effects. A visual analysis conducted both inside and outside of the structure allows for carrying out assessments in order to identify the dominant pathology. The analysis of Glaser diagrams, based on the variation of the exterior temperature, allows for the determination of causes and the validation of potential solutions.
