Overview
ABSTRACT
The corrosion protection and finish of steel structures by thermosetting powder coatings contribute to their durability. This finish, which also has esthetic value, is the last step in manufacturing before installation on-site. Several factors influence paint film performance and corrosion protection. The choice of the surface treatment depends on the support, but especially on how aggressive the surrounding environment is. Taking into account these different criteria, it is possible to choose the best protection technique, coating system, processing conditions, type of paint or treatment to protect a structure from corrosion.

INTRODUCTION
Thermosetting powder paint protects structures while enhancing their value through color. These paint systems are essential for protecting structures, and are an integral part of construction from the outset.
Application and preparation must be carried out in the workshop, to optimize control of process parameters and costs, while respecting people and nature.
Industrial paint is the finishing touch on manufactured products, and the first visual and tactile contact with products of all kinds. Paint functions include protection, insulation and aesthetics.
Unprotected steel, whether exposed to air, immersed or buried, is subject to corrosion, which can lead to damage. For this reason, steel structures are normally protected to resist corrosion stresses for the required service life of the structure.
There are various ways of protecting steel structures against corrosion. The main ones are galvanizing
