1.1 Development of treatment techniques

In previous issues, we highlighted the significant economic impact of lime and hydraulic binder treatment techniques. This methodology plays a key role in enhancing the value of the site's material resources.

Advances in these techniques are constant, based mainly on the following components:

• the rational evolution of methodologies ;

• better knowledge of the nature and behavior of materials, based on in-depth studies, representative tests and feedback from worksites;

• the use of new hydraulic binders, specially adapted to the treatment of different classes of materials;
