4. Setting up junctions

Although intersections represent only a very limited fraction (spatially) of roads and other thoroughfares, they are the scene of around one accident in two in urban areas, and one in five outside built-up areas. .

Crossroads are designed to reduce this lack of safety.

The choice of layout is based on a two-stage approach:

  • determination of a range of possible layouts taking into account the development objectives for the route, depending in particular on the type of road;
