8. Rescue equipment

8.1 Portable fire extinguishers

They are tested on typical fireplaces according to the following fire classes:

  • Class A: fires involving solid materials, generally organic in nature, which burn normally with the formation of embers;

  • class B: fires involving flammable liquids or liquefiable solids ;

  • class C: gas fires ;

  • class D: metal fires.
