5. Robustness of complex systems
In order to assess the risk (technical anomalies, schedule overruns, cost overruns, loss of quality, etc.) of a construction project in a generic and objective way (independently of an expert's opinion), we are going to propose an alternative to the "consequence-probability matrix" method or to the FMECA.
We're going to define two innovative concepts that will enable us to formulate a risk minimization problem for a civil engineering construction project, based on a schematization and algebraic resolution of this problem.
The notion of "risk" proposed here is ideally suited to the study of discrepancies between objectives (expected results) and observed results.
