1. Materials

1.1 General

The products used for scaffolding structure components can be steels, aluminum alloys and, for floors (work surfaces), wood, metal (steel, aluminum alloy or a combination of these with plastics where appropriate).

Standard NF EN 12811-2 provides all the necessary information on the use of these materials (steel, aluminum alloys, wood). You can also refer to the DTU mentioned in .

The materials used must be of sufficient rigidity and durability to withstand normal service conditions.

The materials must be free of any impurities and defects that could compromise their satisfactory use.
