1. Techniques for repairing concrete and adding concrete
It should be remembered that a repair and/or reinforcement method can play several roles at once. For example, spraying a thin layer of micro-concrete onto the surface of a reinforced concrete element, after purging the polluted or degraded concrete, will restore the concrete and, at the same time, the passivity of the reinforcement.
The main techniques discussed in this section concern the restoration and reinforcement of concrete by :
concrete repair by patching ;
shotcrete ;
cast or injected concrete, with or without bonding ;
treatment of cracks and voids.
