 INTRODUCTION

For a company that has been awarded a contract for the construction of a work site, the preliminary stage prior to the start of work, and during the preparation period defined by law, is the study phase. During this phase, the study that led to the bid is taken up again, and the company ensures that the conditions for carrying out the work have been properly planned (personnel, equipment, operating procedures, scheduling, prevention) and can be carried out.

The use of scheduling methods (planning) should make it possible to have smoothed labor curves, well-defined material utilization schedules, disbursement curves and precise situation curves where time margins appear. Prevention must be integrated into the characteristics of the work right from the start of the study; it must relate to personnel, equipment and operating methods.

Staff safety training is not an option, but an obligation.

Clear, concise documents must be drawn up for daily work.

Elements contributing to good equipment and team rotation need to be identified, in particular with regard to the work cycle, team specialization and waste reduction (waiting for equipment, materials, imprecise operating procedures).

The article goes on to detail the search for the best equipment rotations in line with reliable solutions.

The aim of the project is to meet the customer's needs, to keep within the budget and to make a profit, but also to meet production rates and cycle times, to optimize equipment and staff skills, to comply with technical constraints (concrete strength, concreting, drying times) which must be determined to keep costs down, not forgetting the technical amortization of the equipment, which is an important factor in the quest for lower costs.
