Stripping time

The waiting time for concrete to dry after concreting and be removed from the formwork depends on the desired strength of the concrete, in order to avoid :

• any surface crazing;

• any cracking in the mass;

• any bursting of prestressed concrete in pre-tensioned or post-tensioned parts.

The waiting time before stripping the formwork is therefore of prime importance, and plays a part in the formwork rotation time.

This must be defined at the outset of the formwork rotation study.
