2. Glossary

The following abbreviations are used throughout the document:

  • AUT – Architecture Unique des Transmissions, which brings together all the technical rules and standards.

  • BIV – Vehicle Interface Box, a set of mechanical and electronic components enabling a portable TETRAPOL terminal to be used in a vehicle or in a fixed environment (support, power supply, audio accessories, etc.).

  • dB – Decibel, unit for measuring the ratio between two signals.

  • dBi – Unit of measurement expressing the gain (or attenuation) of an antenna relative to an isotropic source.

  • dBm – Unit of measurement expressing power relative to a reference of innVV.
