1.1 Scope of application (article OA 1)

1. In order to prevent people accommodated in an isolated establishment from being directly and immediately subjected, in the event of a fire in the building, to the serious consequences of cold as a result of evacuation, the provisions of articles OA are applicable to isolated hotel-restaurants which are inaccessible to emergency and fire-fighting vehicles for at least part of the year, and where the hotel has at least 20 guests.

2. Type OA establishments must comply with the provisions of the safety regulations applicable to all ERP
