Change of use

There are five types of use: farming and forestry, housing, commercial and service activities, public facilities and services, and other activities in the secondary or tertiary sectors. A change of use is defined as a change from one category to another.

Right of pre-emption

Right given to one person to buy a property in priority to any other if the owner wishes to sell it.

Building footprint

Vertical projection of the building volume, including all projections and overhangs. However, ornaments (e.g. canopies) are excluded, as are roof overhangs when they are not supported by posts or corbels.

Indivision

A situation in which two or more people jointly own the same thing or set of things (e.g. house, securities...
