INTRODUCTION
When issuing planning permission, a local authority has the opportunity to check that work complies with planning regulations.
Depending on the location and type of project, the beneficiary must submit a permit application (building permit, development permit, etc.) or a preliminary declaration of work.
Before starting any work, the beneficiary is advised to apply for a town planning certificate to obtain information about the plot of land on which the work is to be carried out.
The various planning authorizations are the certificat d'urbanisme, déclaration préalable de travaux (DP), permis de construire, permis d'aménager, permis modificatif d'un permis de construire ou d'aménager, permis de démolir, transfert d'un permis de construire ou d'aménager, contestation d'une autorisation d'urbanisme and taxe d'aménagement (TA).
These include planning certificates, building permits, demolition permits and development permits.
Links to online services and forms for planning applications are provided in the Find out more sheet.
