2. CE-certified devices

Installations commissioned since January 1 1997 must comply with all the requirements of European Directive 98/37/EC, which has been transposed into the French Labour Code.

To achieve the objectives set out in the design rules, the following standard can be used NF EN 1808 "Safety requirements for suspended platforms with variable levels. Design, stability, construction, testing".

This standard gives presumption of conformity with the requirements of the directive. The design rules are the same for all European Union countries.

The certification procedure for suspended platforms is EC type examination by a notified body. Certification concerns a complete assembly: platform, winches, automatic parachute device, suspension...
