INTRODUCTION
For the contractor, prefabrication can be very interesting in that it can save time and increase productivity. Thanks to prefabrication, components can be designed prior to on-site assembly, which has a positive impact on site planning. However, the contractor must take into account the many constraints involved. These advantages and disadvantages are the subject of the first section of this article.
The second section deals with the preparation of the execution, in other words, all the elements that need to be taken into account before the start of the worksite: studying the deadlines prior to preparation, drawing up prefabrication and installation schedules, carrying out the technical study, which includes the choice of execution methods, operating procedures and drawing up execution plans. A methodology is proposed.
