3. AEV tests

3.1 General

The performance of curtain walls must be verified using a mock-up on a test bench. NF EN 13-830 (product standard) and DTU 33.1 (May 2008) define the rules and criteria for testing. Tests are carried out in accordance with standards NF EN 12 152 – 12 153 – 12 154 – 12 178 published in 2000 and 2002:

  • air: 5 classes ;

  • water: watertight up to normal pressure ;

  • Normal wind: deflection at 1/200 limited to 15 mm ;

  • Extreme wind: extreme pressure = as per DTU.
