6. Calculation elements for sewage pipes

6.1 Sewage and black water

The term "wastewater" is used here to refer to toilet water, kitchen wastewater and black water (toilet bowl waste), all the more so as they are frequently grouped together in practice, especially in apartment buildings.

However, special care must be taken when disposing of wastewater from industrial facilities with potentially biologically, chemically or other polluting effluents.

In the case of water distribution to a building or facility, and depending on the operating characteristics, piping is determined according to the following steps:
