4. Conclusion

In this article, we set out to show that the problems of integrating alternative sources (in terms of power consumption, heating, etc.) will eventually become crucial as components become ever more miniaturized and functionalities ever greater. The search for new, less energy-intensive nanometric sources has led us to self-oscillating systems that generate periodic signals from a constant energy source. More than just a list, with no real pedagogical interest, we wanted to draw a minimal conceptual panorama that would enable us to grasp the framework of systems currently being realized, but also of future achievements. The examples of nanogenerators presented, far from being competitive for the moment, show what the nanogenerators of the future could look like.
