5. Conclusion

Scalar control is the least sophisticated form of asynchronous machine control, but also the one with the most average performance. In scalar control, variations in speed or electromagnetic torque have an influence on flux amplitude. The asynchronous machine, unlike the DC or synchronous machine, in which the armature reaction has been compensated, presents a natural and reciprocal coupling between flux and torque. This coupling is characterized by a non-linear model, making the study of this drive and the synthesis of controllers more complex. To simplify the presentation, we have been led to make a few approximations, justified by experience and enabling us to obtain the control. We have also seen that it is necessary to linearize the models around an operating point.
