Overview

ABSTRACT

The operating conditions of capacitors used in power electronic circuits are diametrically opposed to that of capacitors which are commonly used in industrial networks. Their specificities of use induce particular production processes. Furthermore, as it is difficult to manufacture capacitors that meet all specifications, manufacturers have developed components with specific characteristics and adapted to each use.

 INTRODUCTION

The operating conditions of capacitors used in power electronics circuits are quite different from those of capacitors normally used in industrial networks. In section 1 , we describe the special features of these capacitors. In 2 , we look at the technologies used, as well as the materials used and the designs. The uses and specifications of these capacitors are developed in section 3 .
